Awesome Words of Encouragement - Mistakes

What do you do about yesterday’s mistakes?

Yesterday I blew it big time.  My responsibility was to do one more job for the day.  I was tired.  My feet were hurting.  Honestly, I just didn’t want to do it.  While I was procrastinating and wasting time (on purpose, I may add), I heard the sure, still, small voice of the Holy Spirit urging me to go on and do this one last thing for the work day.  I ignored that tiny, big voice.  When it was time for my evening prayer time with God, I didn’t want to face Him.  I felt a little bit like Adam must have felt.  I wanted to run and hide from God.  Instead, I bowed my head and like a little child, went to Him with a repentant heart.

HE FORGAVE ME!  He actually forgave me and taught me a few valuable lessons.  The Lord is so very good.  It was while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.  His Word tells us that if we confess our sins (really repenting and turning away from them) He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  I John 1:9 is in the Bible on purpose. Whew! Thank You, Lord Jesus, for dying for my sins.

So, what do you do about yesterday’s mistakes (sins)?  Offer God true repentance and turn away from them.  Put to use the lessons you learned and move forward.  Yesterday is gone.  Philippians 3:13b-14 says, “forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth to those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

Here is a prayer you can pray:

Lord, I heard Your Spirit’s voice and I chose to disobey.  I’m sorry.  I was wrong.  Please forgive me.  You know me well.  My heart’s desire is to always obey You. I don’t take Your forgiveness lightly.  Thank You. I won’t dwell on yesterdays sins.  I will do what Your Word says in Philippians 3.  I choose to forget those things behind me and reach forward to those things which are before me. I’ll take the lessons You taught me from this and press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of You, God, in Christ Jesus.  In His Name I pray.  Amen.

Awesome Words of Encouragement - Answers

God’s Word has the answers for you today.

Don’t forget about God’s Awesome Word when you’re going through stuff.  Run to His Holy Word for the answers to whatever is happening in your life.  Psalm 119:83b says, “Yet, I do not forget Your Words.”  God’s Word has been given to you for your victory.  He has given His Word to you!  God wants you to succeed in life in every way.  His Word is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path.  It’s a lamp that helps you see the very next steps to take and it’s a light to your path, so that you can also see all the way down the path.  God’s Word will never return to Him void.  It goes out and accomplishes what He pleases, and it prospers wherever it’s sent.    God’s Word always produces fruit, just as Isaiah 55:11 says.  Praise God for His mighty Word!

Don’t get exhausted in waiting.  God has a plan.  Keep clinging to His Word and obeying what it says.  It is trustworthy.  It never makes a mistake.  It’s true. God’s Word works!  It will work for you.

Here is a prayer you can pray from Psalm 119:105-106 in the Living Bible:

Father, “Your Words are a flashlight to light the path ahead of me, and keep me from stumbling. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again and again: I will obey these wonderful [words] of Yours” in Jesus’ Name.  Amen.

Awesome Words of Encouragement - Affliction

Any affliction you are going through is just for a moment and it’s working for you!

God always uses anything the devil throws at us as a stepping stone to take us higher in Him!  Look at 2 Corinthians 4:17.  It says, “For our light affliction which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory while we do not look at the things which are seen, but [while we look] at the things which are n-o-t seen.”  The afflictions are “light and only for a moment” if we are looking at the things which are not seen.  The afflictions are working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory if we are looking at the things which are n-o-t seen!

In Creation, God did exactly what this verse said.  He did not look at the darkness that He could see.  Instead, He said, ‘LIGHT, BE!” He spoke to what He did n-o-t see, and it became! We, too, must look at what we don’t see and call for it to “Be”.  We cannot afford to call things that already are.  We cannot keep saying what we see, feel, hear, taste or can touch, if it’s not in line with God’s Awesome Word!  We must imitate God, as He says in Ephesians 5:1.  We, as blood bought Believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, must call things that be not as though they were just like God did in creation.  Hebrews 11:3 says the world was framed by the Word of God.  Things that are seen were not made of things which are visible.

This scripture (Heb. 11:3) is saying the same thing as 2 Corinthians 4:17.  Whatever “light affliction” may be going on in your life, it is for a moment and it’s working for you.  It’s working for you a far more exceeding weight of Glory if you will look at the things which are not seen. Call for what you want, not for what’s there.  It’s time for you to reign in life through Jesus Christ, as Romans 5:17 states.

Imitate God! Call for what you want [in line with God’s Word].  Not for what’s there already [that’s not in line with God’s Word]. You reign by speaking words that line up with God’s Word.  That’s one reason it is so important for you to continue to renew your mind on God’s Awesome Word.  As John 8:31 says, “If you continue in God’s Word, you will be a follower of Christ indeed, and you will know the Truth, and the Truth will continue to make you free.”

A Confession:  “This light affliction is but for a moment and it is working for me a far more exceeding weight of Glory.  For, I am looking at things which are not seen and calling things that be not as though they were.  Therefore, I call into being *_______________________________________________.  It lines up with what God says is mine.  I say, BE, in the Name of my Lord Jesus Christ!  Now Lord I praise & worship You.

*If it’s anything that pertains to life and godliness, call for it. (2 Peter 1:3)

If it’s anything that is a benefit, call for it. (Psalm 103:2-5)

If it’s anything that is a part of the abundant life Jesus came to give you, call for it. (John 10:10)
